One FREE hardcopy Teacher Guide (in Full Colour) is provided for each grade where a school has purchased over 30 books for that grade. A FREE electronic copy of the Teacher Guide is also then available via Snapplify.com (if your school is a member of Snapplify). Our intention is to provide every teacher in your LO Team with a FREE hardcopy Teacher Guide for the LO grades that they teach. However, if a school only orders 30 books for a grade, then it’s impossible that the school would require three Teacher Guides for that grade. Concessions are made for smaller schools.

We provide a PowerPoint Folder (via WeTransfer) – which contains a copy of all the PowerPoints referenced in the lessons of the books ordered. Thus, a teacher merely requires the Teacher Guide and the PowerPoint Folder to teach. We also provide PDF Revision Questions MEMO and PDF Worksheet MEMO or PDF Activity MEMO documents for each grade. These can be shared with learners for self-marking and revision / study purposes when appropriate.

Merely email us (orders@teenactiv.co.za) the quantities per grade, the book type (e.g. Learner Workbook) and whether the school has chosen the Greyscale or Full Colour option. Alternatively, the relevant 2027 Order Form(s) can be completed and emailed to us.

The issued Quotation serves two purposes:

1. It confirms the details of the order (ISBN, quantities per grade, price) for your school.
2. It is the reference document used for the school to pay its R5500 deposit to secure its book order.

Only once the R5500 deposit has been paid, is the school’s book order locked in.

The first print run will commence on the 17 th September. All schools that have submitted their quantities by then and paid their R5500 deposit, will receive the benefit of us printing in bulk. All orders submitted after 15 th September, will unfortunately be charged at full price.

Only member schools are able to purchase the 2027 Teenactiv books. Thus, all member schools that would like to order books would need to pay their 2027 Subscription Fee. However, this 2027 Subscription Fee payment can be made any time before 20 th January 2027. It does not have to be made before ordering or receiving the 2027 books.

Schools get to choose when they would like to receive their delivery. It can be any time from 26 th October 2026 onwards till early February 2027. Ordered books are stored with the printers till required – there is no charge. Please let us know your preferred date for the books to be delivered to your school address.

All books are delivered directly to your school address on the date requested. This is a FREE service, there is no delivery fee. Schools are contacted the week prior to confirm the physical address, delivery day and time.

We appreciate that different schools have different payment preferences. All payment options (e.g. upfront, upon delivery, installments, from late January) are available. Please indicate your preference.

The Teacher Guides will only be available from early-November onwards. They will be delivered separately from the ordered books. In mid-October, we will contact each school to determine the number of FREE Teacher Guides required per grade. This number is dependent on the number of LO Teachers assigned to each grade and how many books were ordered for that grade. We would like each teacher to have their own Teacher Guide for the LO grades they teach. A FREE electronic copy of the Teacher Guide will also then be available via Snapplify.com (if your school is a member of Snapplify) from 1 st November 2026 onwards.

Additional books can be ordered any time throughout 2027. Merely send us an order request. There is no minimum quantity requirement. These books will be charged at the full price. FREE delivery is included as long as this arrangement is not abused. Books usually reach schools within six working days of the order being placed (if not sooner).

Yes, all artworks remain available. A school merely needs to specify in its order that it would like the 2027 version. E.g. If ordering an additional ten 2027 Greyscale Learner Workbooks in 2028, the price per book will be the same as the full price of the 2028 Greyscale Learner Workbook.

Every school’s situation is unique. However, we find a common trend is that the textbooks many schools currently use are now out of date. The number of topics in these books that need to be supplemented with additional information has become extensive.

Furthermore, the Teenactiv books include Revision Questions at the end of each topic, allowing learners to practice with the type of questions they can expect in the exams. Additionally, many LO departments include non-LO specialists. The Teacher Guides and PowerPoint Folder allow these teachers to feel empowered and teach the lessons well. Having a Life Orientation book, gives learners structure to their LO lessons and allows them to still cover the lesson material even if class is missed. Furthermore, it makes studying / revision easier as all the information and notes are in one book.

No. The Revision Questions at the end of each topic are ONLY available in the books. The Revision Questions are specially selected questions from past Teenactiv Controlled Tests and Examination Papers to expose learners to the different types of questions that could be asked for each topic.

The Learner Workbook (Greyscale) is definitely the most popular. Its price (R199/book) and that it contains everything – makes it a great value for money option. Please refer to the Lesson example and Teacher Guide example in the 2027 Sample Book (p1-37 & 39-115).

The Learner’s Book (Textbook) is a new addition. Being a textbook, it is only available in Full Colour (which makes it more expensive – R219/book). Only available for Grades 8 to 12. However, it is a proper textbook and adheres to all the requirements and guidelines to be categorized as a textbook. Please refer to the Lesson example and Teacher Guide example in the 2027 Sample Book (p117-142 & 143-178).

The Study Guide has been added as an option for those schools that would like flexibility regarding their lessons but want the Content Summary and Revision Questions per topic for learners to study and practice. Only available in Greyscale, it is the most affordable option at R189/book. However, the Study Guide option requires a sub-minimum order of 80% of learners per grade and only comes with the PDF Revision Questions MEMO (i.e. no Teacher Guide, no PDF Worksheet MEMO, no PowerPoint Folder). Please refer to the Lesson example in the 2027 Sample Book (p179-194).

All our material is completely aligned with CAPS and the latest ATPs.
All our Revision Questions and Marking Guidelines follow the 2021 Examination Guideline.
Our content development team is ready should there be any potential changes to either the ATPs or the Examination Guideline for 2027.

The Teenactiv books are a compilation of the latest Teenactiv lesson for each topic that has been published on the Teenactiv website. Thus, any interested school can easily check that every topic is covered by visiting the Teenactiv website for any particular grade. Furthermore, member schools can access and download any lesson from the Teenactiv website. By doing so, they can effortlessly review what will be in the Teenactiv books.

Please note: Lessons are enhanced and their formatting improved during the book development process … but the majority of each lessons’ content will be the same as in the version on the Teenactiv website. For the Gr8 to 12 Textbooks, those lessons have seen extensive formatting changes to bring them in line with guidelines for textbook content. Each lesson in the Teenactiv books is followed by Revision Questions. These Revision Questions are not available on the Teenactiv website.
